Liaoning crush Shandong for 13th straight win

Visiting Liaoning beat Shandong 102-84 to earn the 13th straight win in the 24th round of the 2018-19 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Tuesday night.

Liaoning led the game from the first quarter with 28-15, and they pushed their lead to 19 points after the second quarter. Shandong found their level in the third quarter to narrow the gap to 8 points, but Guo Ailun of Liaoning stopped Shandong's efforts to seal the victory.

Guo Ailun got the team-high 25 points, Lester Hudson and Brandon Bass scored 19 and 23 points respectively. Tao Hanlin pocketed 30 points and 10 rebounds for Shandong, and Ty Lawson got 22 points.

Yi Jianlian, a former NBA player, pocketed the game-high 27 points and 19 rebounds to help Guangdong beat Beijing 96-87 at home.

The two powerhouses tied with 21-21 after the first quarter, and Beijing led the game after a 15-2 run in the second quarter, before Guangdong narrowed the gap to 3 points in the end of the first half.

Yi and Du Runwang dominated in the third quarter to reverse the lead for good for the home team.

Zhou Peng of Guangdong got 18 points, and Ren Junfei scored 17 points for Guangdong. Justin Hamilton had the team-high 24 points and 11 rebounds for Beijing, Zhai Xiaochuan got 19 points.

Elsewhere, Shenzhen beat Guangzhou 121-113, Xinjiang edged off Jiangsu 101-99, Qingdao nailed down Tongxi 121-115, Shanghai smashed Bayi 103-82, Tianjin defeated Jilin 110-105, Guangsha stopped Fujian 121-116, and Aolong saw off Zhejiang 95-84.
