Arsenal's veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech has announced he will be retiring at the end of the current season.
The 36-year-old, who had previously retired from international football after 124 appearances for the Czech Republic, made the announcement on his Twitter account on Tuesday.
"This is my 20th season as a professional player and it has been 20 years since I signed my first professional contract, so it feels like the right time to announce that I will retire at the end of this season."
"Having played 15 years in the Premier League and won every single trophy possible, I feel like I have achieved everything I set out to achieve."
"I will continue to work hard at Arsenal to hopefully win one more trophy this season, then I am looking forward to seeing what life holds for me off the pitch," wrote the goalkeeper.
Cech joined Chelsea from Rennes in 2004 and won four Premier League titles and the Champions League with the club, as well as keeping a record 202 clean sheets in the Premier League.
He made a total of 494 appearances for Chelsea before joining Arsenal in 2015, where he has made over 110 league appearances and won the 2017 FA Cup.
