Courtney Fortson scored a team-high 33 points to lead five players scoring double digits as Guangsha defeat Sichuan 119-115 in the 36th round action of the 2018-2019 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Saturday.

From 65-72 down, Guangsha played well in the third quarter to avoid getting behind further. The visitors turned the table 81-79 with a three-pointer in the middle of the third quarter and enlarged the gap to six points then.

Both Sichuan and Guangsha played aggressively in the last quarter, but Courtney Fortson helped Guangsha seal the victory.

Hu Jinqiu contributed 31 points for Guangsha. Jamaal Franklin made a game-high 47 points and Jason Thompson also had 24 points for Sichuan, but they were still unable to stop the team from losing.

In Saturday's another match, Xinjiang routed Shanghai 103-97. The home team enlarge the lead to 8 points in the first quarter and never looked back.

Guangdong extended unbeaten run to nine games as they defeated Shanxi 140-126.
