Chinese basketball star Yi Jianlian embraced a milestone night on Friday as he renewed the all-time rebounds record in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league history.

The 31-year-old got 22 points and 10 rebounds, and helped Guangdong Southeast Tigers smash Zhejiang Chouzhou 115-101.

Thus, Yi grabbed a total of 4,984 rebounds during his CBA career, breaking the previous 4,978-rebound record held by Mengke Bateer.

With the victory, Guangdong, the season title favorite remains the bellwether in the CBA standings.

Zhejiang's international players Marcus Denmon and Brandon Paul combined for 55 points and 19 rebounds, but Guangdong dominated throughout the game.

Compared with Zhejiang, Guangdong didn't sign for outstanding non-Chinese cagers but boast of powerful domestic players. Ren Junfei made 19 points and eight rebounds while Zhou Peng contributed 17 points for the league leaders.
