Stuart Bingham made the fifth 147 of his career during his match against Peter Ebdon at the XingPai China Open on Wednesday.

Bingham becomes the sixth player to make five or more official maximum breaks, joining Ronnie O'Sullivan (15), Stephen Hendry (11), John Higgins (nine), Ding Junhui (six) and Shaun Murphy (five).

The break will be worth £20,000 from the rolling pot for 147s, plus the £7,000 high break prize, if it is not equalled this week.

World number 12 Bingham made the break in the seventh frame to go 4-3 up on Ebdon in their last 32 match. There were four reds in awkward positions towards the end of the break but he picked them off with blacks and then cleared the colours.

It's the 151st maximum break in snooker history and 12th of the season.

Remarkably, Bingham made a 147 in the same tournament last year, in the same round and in the same frame, putting him 4-3 up on Ricky Walden.
