Chelsea midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi will miss the rest of the season after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The 18-year-old limped off the pitch after sustaining the injury in the first half of Chelsea's 2-2 Premier League draw with Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Monday.

"Really gutted to end my season with a ruptured Achilles, gotta work hard and try and come back stronger for next season!!!" he tweeted.

The injury means Hudson-Odoi, who has called up to the senior England squad this year, is likely to miss the Nations League semifinals in June.

Chelsea currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League and face Eintracht Frankfurt in the semifinals of the Europa League.
