Kawhi Leonard scored a career playoff-high 45 points and had 11 rebounds to help the Toronto Raptors overcome the Philadelphia 76ers 108-95 in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on Saturday.
Playing at home, the Raptors looked comfortable as star forwards Leonard and Pascal Siakam were hot at the start of the game, giving Toronto a 14-point lead in the first quarter.
The 76ers managed to cut the cushion to 68-64 in the third quarter, but Toronto guard Kyle Lowry stood out to score four points and inspired a 10-0 run to help home team keep the momentum.
Philadelphia's Big Three lost star power as center Joel Embiid scored 16 points, Ben Simmons had 14 and Jimmy Butler scored just 10 points.
Game 2 will be held in Toronto on Monday.
