Star guard Jimmy Butler had 30 points and 11 rebounds to help the Philadelphia 76ers edge past the Toronto Raptors 94-89 in Game 2 of their West Conference semifinals on Monday and even their playoffs series at 1-1.

James Ennis came off the bench to score 13 points while center Joel Embiid had 12 points and six rebounds for the 76ers.

Toronto's Kawhi Leonard scored 35 points, forward Pascal Siakam had 21 and guard Kyle Lowry added 20. The cold-shooting Toronto were just 10 for 37 from 3-point range and 33 for 91 overall.

The 76ers played hard defense in the game and stormed to 51-38 at halftime. Inspired by Leonard, the Raptors cut the deficit in the second half. However, Philadelphia held on to win the match.

It was Philadelphia's first win in Toronto since November 2012, snapping a 14-game losing streak.

The 76ers will host Game 3 on Thursday.
