Shanghai SIPG snap Beijing winning streak

Beijing Guoan lost to Shanghai SIPG 2-1 in the 11th round of 2019 Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday to stop their ten-game winning streak of the season.

Brazilian winger Oscar scored in the 27th minute for Shanghai SIPG before Yu Dabao's header in the 57th minute to equalize for Beijing Guoan, and Cai Huikang's header in the 79th minute sealed the victory for the host team.

Beijing Guoan still keeps the top spot of the table, but Shanghai SIPG narrowed the gap to just 2 points.

Shandong Luneng defeated Guangzhou R&F 3-1 at home. Moroccan midfielder Marouane Fellaini broke the deadlock for Shandong before Israelite Eran Zahavi of Guangzhou scored from long distance to equalize in the 55th minute.

Brazilian Carlos Gilberto's header in the 60th put Shandong 2-1 ahead and Hao Junmin added one 7 minutes later.

In other actions on Sunday, Wei Shihao scored in the 56th minute to help Guangzhou Evergrande to beat promoted Shenzhen 1-0, while Dalian Yifang also beat Shanghai Greenland 1-0 with Slovakian Marek Hamsik's header in the 55th minute.
