China's coach Marcello Lippi refused to deny the possibility of more naturalized players joining his team.

"It is better for you to ask the Chinese FA, but I hope more quality players, especially good strikers could join the team." The Italian said at the press conference after the friendly match China beating Tajikistan 1-0 here on Tuesday.

Lippi debuted London-born Li Ke four days ago in the match China beating Philippines 2-0. Li became the country's first naturalized footballer playing for the national team.

But the 26-year old midfielder is certainly not enough to help team China qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Brazilian media recently reported that Elkeson had agreed to be naturalized and joining Lippi's Chinese national team.

The 29-year old scoring machine netted 74 goals for Guangzhou and 50 goals for Shanghai since he came to China in 2013.

"Gao Lin and Wu Lei are good strikers. I will be very happy if more sharp strikers could join the team." The 71-year old said.
