Twenty university students from six Hong Kong-based universities will start their six-week internship program at the Beijing organizing committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games from mid-June to late July.

The program was co-organized by the human resource department of the Beijing organizing committee and the Home Affairs Bureau of the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The 20 students are from diverse educational disciplines from six universities, including the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and City University of Hong Kong.

An official from the Beijing organizing committee said the interns are benefiting from Hong Kong's development and could be witnesses to Beijing's development, and they now have the chance to contribute to the shared development of the two cities.

The official added that the organizing committee will provide thorough instructions to the interns, with the hopes that more Hong Kong youth could participate in the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
