Shanghai SIPG's new foreign signing Marko Arnautovic greeted fans at Shanghai Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

The Austria international, who moved from English Premier League side West Ham United, was given the No. 7 jersey by club General Manager Zhang Min.

The striker earlier played for Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga and Stoke City in the EPL before joining the Hammers. The 30-year-old contributed 22 goals and 12 assists in 65 appearances for the east London club over the past two seasons.

The 1.92-meter Arnautovic, who can play both center forward and as a winger, will fill in the void left by Brazil striker Elkeson, who has moved back to Guangzhou Evergrande.

Defending champion SIPG currently shares second place in the Chinese Super League standings with Guangzhou on 40 points after 16 rounds. Beijing Guoan is the current leader with 45 points.
