China's Chongqing Lifan releases Brazilian Fernandinho

The Chinese football club Chongqing Lifan said on Friday that Brazilian player Fernandinho da Silva will leave the club at the end of his contract which expires in a few days.
Fernandinho is famous for his nimble and fast movement on the pitch. In June 2015, he transfered from Copa Libertadores champions Gremio to Chongqing Lifan at the age of 22.
Over the past four years, Fernandinho has scored 25 goals and provided 27 assists across all the 102 matches he played for the club.
A Chongqing Lifan official said the decision to release Fernandinho was made under detailed consultation with the club authorities and technical analysts and friendly discussion with Fernandinho. The club will hold a farewell party for him in the coming days.
Chongqing Lifan is now taking active efforts to recruit new foreign players.
