Brazilian striker Elkeson scored his 102nd goal in the Chinese Super League in Guangzhou Evergrande's 3-0 away victory over Shandong Luneng on Saturday, tying with Chinese international Wu Lei to become the CSL best scorer of all time.

The goal, coming in the 55th minute, was Elkeson's sixth league goal in the recent six games for Evergrande since his return from Shanghai SIPG in July.

The 30-year-old scored 59 goals in 72 appearances during his first spell in Evergrande from 2013 to 2015, before collecting another 37 goals in 74 games with SIPG during the last three and a half seasons.

Wei Shihao, the former Shandong forward, opened the scoring for the visiting side in the 52nd minute and Brazilian midfielder Paulinho added the third in the 89th minute.

The seven-time CSL champions Evergrande held the pressure from the second-placed Beijing Guoan, who beat Hebei China Fortune 2-0 on Friday, to claim their 12th league win in a row, only one win away from the current CSL record which created by Shandong in 2016.

Evergrande have pocketed 55 points from 21 games to top the standings and will head to Beijing to take on Guoan with a four-point advantage in hand on August 11.

Defending champions SIPG, currently ranked third on the table, failed to close the gap with the top two teams as they were held 0-0 by relegation-threatened Tianjin Tianhai at home. What's worse for SIPG was that their Brazilian forward Hulk limped off the pitch just 11 minutes into the game.

Tianhai stay at the 14th place of the 16-team league after the draw, just one point clear of the relegation zone.

Elsewhere, 10-man Tianjin Teda ended their five-game winless streak to beat Henan Jianye 2-0 at home.

German Sandro Wagner's header beat Henan's goalkeeper Wu Yan in the 66th minute to break the deadlock for the hosts. But the former Bayern striker was sent off in the last minute of the regular time, after receiving a second yellow card for over-foot in a ferocious tackle.

He got the first one in the 79th minute for treading on Henan's defender Feng Zhuoyi when Feng tried to tackle on him. Feng was also shown a yellow by the British refree Mark Clattenburg for his dangerous defensive move.

Teda's Ghanian winger Frank Acheampong, who squandered a penalty in the stoppage time of the first half, capitalized on a mistake from Henan's defender Du Changjie in the 95th minute to set up unmarked Johnathan, who slot into an empty net from the edge of the six yard box.

The win also sees Teda jump to the ninth place of the league table, while Henan ranked 11th after the loss.
