Croatian winger Ivan Perisic has moved from Inter Milan to Bayern Munich on a season-long loan deal, the German club announced on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old, who has played 141 times for Inter since joining the club from Wolfsburg in 2015, strengthens a Bayern attack shorn of the recently-retired Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.

"I'm very glad to back in Germany," said Perisic. "FC Bayern are one of the biggest clubs in Europe. We want to go on the attack, not only in the Bundesliga and the German Cup, but also in the Champions League."

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic noted that Perisic has extensive experience at a top international level, as well as possessing good technique and flexibility in attack.

Capped 82 times for Croatia, Perisic played a key role in his national team's run to the 2018 FIFA World Cup final.
