Botswana's national women's football team resumed camp on August 19 in preparation for an Olympic qualifier against South Africa in Gaborone on August 30.

The team arrived on Friday from Slovakia, where it had been at a two-week intensive training camp.

Botswana Football Association (BFA) spokesperson Tumo Mpatane told Xinhua in Gaborone on Tuesday that the team had been given a two-day break.

He added that the association would organize friendly matches with local teams to keep the team in good shape.

"Technical director Serame Letsoaka will also be available to work very closely with the senior technical team in terms of trying to produce the best results," he said.

Furthermore, Mpatane said the team will face South Africa with the intention to win.

"We also want to establish as to where we are now after the intensive training, but then again I hope the fans come to the game in large numbers to motivate the players. The time is now for us to prove our worth," he added.

While in Slovakia, the team played and won three friendly games, against Partizan Bardejov, FK Poprad and FC Tatran Presov.
