RCD Espanyol has secured a season-long loan for the French right-back Sebastien Corchia from Sevilla.
Corchia will be with Espanyol until the end of June 2020 and Espanyol also has the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
The Frenchman is not available to play in Espanyol's Europa League qualifying round tie at home to the Ukrainian side FC Zoyra Lugansk on Thursday as the club has not been able to inscribe him in the competition.
Espanyol already made it through two qualifying rounds, beating Icelandic side Stjarnan 7-1 on aggregate and then dispatching the Swiss outfit FC Luzern 6-0 in the two legs last round.
However, its LaLiga campaign got off to a poor start on Sunday when the side coached by David Gallego lost 2-0 at home to Sevilla, and the team has little time to recover from their European game before Sunday's second league match to Alaves.
Espanyol's pre-season plans were affected last week with the sale of Borja Iglesias - last season's top scorer - to Betis and the club is currently looking for a replacement, with former Las Palmas and Alaves striker Jonathan Calleri the favorite to arrive before the transfer window closes on September 2.
