Paris Saint-Germain celebrated a breezy 4-0 win over Toulouse on Sunday at the Parc des Princes, though their joy was tempered by injuries to three players, including strikers Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe.
Having surprisingly lost at Rennes last time out, PSG bounced back to record their first win of the new Ligue 1 season, with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scoring a second-half brace after coming on for the injured Cavani. Mbappe also departed the scene after appearing to pull up with a hamstring complaint.
Despite young defender Abdou Diallo also limping off injured, Marquinhos' late header and Mathieu Goncalves' calamitous 55th-minute own goal gave PSG a comfortable win.
"We will wait for the tests," said coach Thomas Tuchel. "These are different injuries, in different actions.
"There's not a single explanation, we have to look for all the possible reasons. I'm disappointed because we're talking about that when we've been very strong."
In spite of the victory, PSG's off-field problems continue to mount up, with star forward Neymar again left out of the matchday squad amid rumors he is set for a move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona.
