Poland sealed their sixth victory at the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup, smashing Egypt in straight sets 25-19, 25-18, 25-16 on Thursday.

Coach Vital Heynen let his stars rest, leaving Wilfredo Leon and Bartosz Kurek on the bench.

As expected, the world champions took an easy victory. Artur Szalpuk was the most prolific player with a game-high 15 points, while Hisham Ewais scored 10 points for Egypt.

Poland had some problems just in the opening period of the first set, but when the result was 10-10, the favorite scored six consecutive points, as the African team couldn't deal with Lukasz Kaczmarek's strikes from the service line.

"Of course I'm satisfied. We changed a lot of players compared to the previous match. We want a lot of players to play and we won - which I think is the most important thing," coach Heynen was quoted as saying by the official site of the FIVB World Cup.

"Our journey in this competition is not over yet, we still have to fight to win this tournament as that is what we came here for, and we will do our best to achieve our goal," added the Polish skipper Michal Kubiak.

The world champions have 18 points, along with leaders Brazil. On Friday they will play against Australia, while Egypt will take on hosts Japan.
