Struggling Dijon inflicted a surprising 2-1 win over leaders Paris Saint-Germain at home in the 12th round of Ligue 1 on Friday.

Dijon, sitting bottom at the table prior to Friday's action, found themselves behind in the 19th minute as Kylian Mbappe latched onto Angel Di Maria's cross and lifted the ball over goalkeeper Alfred Gomis for his fifth league goal of the campaign.

But Dijon players never stopped their attempt to make a comeback, and scored at either side of the halftime.

Didier Ndong's cross was punched by PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas into Mounir Chouiar's path, and the latter didn't waste the chance for an easy finish six minutes into stoppage time of the first half.

Soon after the restart, Jhonder Cadiz shrugged off PSG defenders before sending the ball into the net between Navas' legs.

Mauro Icardi failed to level the score for PSG as he headed Di Maria's cross against the crossbar in the 63rd minute.

After conceding the third league defeat of the season, PSG can expect their advantage atop the table trimmed to five points following the round action.

Marseille will take on last season's runners-up Lille on Saturday, while Nantes, PSG's nearest rivals, will visit Bordeaux on Sunday.
