Borussia Dortmund seem to be comfortable with large sums these days. Media reports speak of a new deal taking place with the club's official outfitter Puma worth up to 250 million euros (277 million US dollars) until 2028. Club leaders praise the side's financial independence.

The clubs' cashier could soon be flushed with more money as a second big deal is in preparation.

The 2012 German Champions are getting ready to sell 19-year-old Jadon Sancho next summer.

Reports speak of up to a 140 million euros (155 million US dollars) price tag for the former Manchester City youth academy trainee.

The striker joined Dortmund in 2017 for the comparatively modest sum of seven million euros (7.76 million US dollars), signing a contract until 2022. Now the decision has been made to allow the gifted attacker to leave if a bid is convincing enough.

Football heavyweights don't seem to mind Sancho's unsteady character as 2019 Champions League winners Liverpool FC, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Paris St Germain, and Manchester United are said to stretch out their hands to get hold of one of Europe's biggest talents.

Bayern Munich spearhead Robert Lewandowski called the Dortmund forward one of the Bundesliga's most prominent attractions and a footballer with star potential.

"He is undoubtedly one of the best in the German league," the 31-year-old Pole commented.

Sancho has become the youngest Bundesliga player to score 15 goals, breaking the 52-year-old Bundesliga record this September. The London-born professional became the best supplier of all European leagues this season.

Dortmund's leaders understand that it will be impossible to make Sancho stay if a huge offer is received and if the player wants a return to the Premier League.

Borussia's CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke and managing director Michael Zorc rely on a pragmatic approach to the issue. "If there should be an offer or the player says he wants to leave and join a new club, we will talk about it," Watzke underlined.

Despite having made his way to the squad of the Three Lions, Sancho's performance in Dortmund's shirt declined. In the German Classico against Bayern, the striker was taken off the pitch by his coach Lucien Favre after 36 minutes.

Rumors spoke of him wanting to ensure or force a move to England as soon as possible. Speculations were denied by Zorc announcing Sancho might have entered a low but is far from wanting to force a move.

"He has experienced a high flight in a short time. It is no surprise for a youngster like him to get into some difficulties," Zorc said.

His club banned Sancho for a late return from national team, which made him miss the Bundesliga clash with Moenchengladbach three weeks ago. Instead of preparing for the match, he had to attend a training session at the club's campus.

Zorc said Sancho is exploring his borders at times, but the club must deliver orientation points. The former professional insisted Sancho is getting along comfortably with the clubs' advice.

Zorc said: "You don't need to be a prophet to foresee that Jadon won't play in our shirt the next five years. We know the big clubs are not blind."
