Beijing win decisive clash over Dongguan, Bayi beat Shanxi

Beijing beat Dongguan in a decisive clash at home by 66-63, snapping the defending champions' 12-match winning streak in the 2019-2020 season of the Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) on Saturday.

Teaira McCowan had a game-high 29 points and 24 rebounds for Beijing in the high-profile game, while Shao Ting added 14 points, and Beijing beat the WCBA's final undefeated team by knocking off Dongguan. Aerial Powers scored 18 points for Dongguan.

Shao Ting made a jump shot and Qi Site made two free throws for Beijing to reverse 63-62 with only 48 seconds remaining before Aerial Powers missed the last shoot.

Bayi pocketed away victory by beating Shanxi 85-67 for their six-game winning streak. Sun Mengran had 29 points and 12 rebounds, finishing 11-of-14 from the field, including 2-of-2 from three-point range.

Henan are still struggling for a win this season. They lost 53-74 to Jiangsu for their 13 straight defeat.

In other games on Saturday, Inner Mongolia beat Wuhan 95-66 with four players reaching double figures, and Shandong routed Daqing 85-54. Sichuan outscored Fujian 103-79. Hebei defeated Shaanxi 77-65. Shanghai lost to Zhejiang 81-86. Xinjiang thrash Tianjin 104-77.
