Competition zones of 2022 Winter Olympics resume construction

As of Monday, 25 construction projects in the Beijing and Yanqing competition zones of the 2022 Winter Olympics have achieved 96% work resumption rate. Those projects include National Alpine Skiing Center, Yanqing Olympic Village, Yanqing Mountain News Center, National Speed Skating Oval, and Phase 2 of China National Convention Center.
According to the Beijing Major Project Construction Headquarters Office, the construction of Beijing Winter Olympics projects has been a smooth process with work balanced between disease control and socioeconomic development. At present, construction companies have established a joint action mechanism with the local governments and health authorities as they resume work on Olympic projects while following regulations from Beijing.
All the competition venues at the two zones are scheduled to be completed at the end of 2020, according to the construction headquarters.
