Liga MX president Enrique Bonilla has become the second Mexican football official to test positive for the coronavirus in three days.

"So far I have no serious symptom and I will remain in quarantine, as indicated by the health authorities," Bonilla said in a statement late on Friday.

On Tuesday, Alberto Marrero, the president of Atletico San Luis, was also found to have contracted the respiratory disease.

According to Mexico's health ministry, there are now more than 200 confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths

Liga MX, Mexican football's top division, suspended its Clausura season last weekend to help counter the spread of the virus.
