Premier League returns: Manchester City 3-0 Arsenal

The English Premier League made a much-anticipated return as Manchester City played host to Arsenal on Wednesday evening. Manchester City were 1-0 up at half-time and in the end won 3-0.

In the eighth minute, Granit Xhaka was replaced by Daniel Ceballos as he was injured and unable to carry on. In the 24th minute, Pablo Marí was replaced by David Louis because of a sprained ankle.

Raheem Sterling scored in the 47th minute when David Lewis made a mistake.

By the 51st minute, Arsenal had only 10 players on the pitch when David Luiz was shown a red card by the referee and sent off. Kevin De Bruyne then scored from a penalty.

In the 81st minute, Manchester City defender Eric Garía was taken off the pitch after a clash with the goalkeeper.

In the 91st minute, Sergio Agüero hit the post and Phil Forden made it 3-0 for Manchester City.  

At the end of the game, Manchester city's top scorer was De Bruyne and Arsenal's goalkeeper, Leno, made nine saves, a season-high. Manchester City are second on 60 points, Arsenal is ninth on 40.
