In the 86th minute, Asensio assisted Benzema to open the goal. Benzema also surpassed legendary Ferenc Puskas to become the fifth highest scorer in Real Madrid's history with 243 goals.
In the 89th minute, the referee sent off Lee Kang-in for kicking Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.
At the end of the game, Real Madrid had beaten Valencia 3-0. Real Madrid is currently two points behind Barcelona in La Liga with 62 points, while Valencia is eighth with 43.
