Wang Zhelin racked up a game-high 30 points and ten rebounds, helping the Fujian Sturgeons overcome the Jilin Northeast Tigers 120-111 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.

Both teams put on an offensive show, with five players on each side scoring double figures. Ty Lawson was excellent in his ball movement, contributing 19 assists and 26 points for Fujian. Sean Hill Jr. scored 24 points for Jilin.

"It's an important win for us. We should have killed this game earlier but they had a lot of guys shooting well. We controled the game very well," said Fujian head coach Aleksandar Kesar at the post-game press conference.

Lawson scored 12 points and had eight assists, leading Fujian to control the rhythm and prevail 38-26 in the first quarter. Chen Linjian added attacking power from outside the paint for Fujian, shooting 6 for 7 to help the team go into half-time with a 66-47 edge.

"We were terrible in defense tonight, especially in the first half," commented Jilin's head coach Wang Han.

"We could hardly restrict Wang Zhelin and Lawson, which is also a blow to our defense."

Hill tried to reverse the tide with several three-pointers, but Wang stood out in the second half, scoring 20 points, and Lawson continued to pour on the pressure with jump shots to bag the win.
