The Guangzhou Loong Lions rallied to upset the Zhejiang Lions 100-92 to snap Zhejiang's 4-game winning streak, while the defending champion Guangdong Southeast Tigers defeated the Fujian Sturgeons 143-126, extended their winning streak to 18 games in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.

Zhejiang, the only unbeaten team with an all-domestic squad after the CBA restarted, made just three for 29 from the three-point range. Hu Jinqiu had 27 points and 18 rebounds while Sun Minghui scored 20 points and seven assists.

Marcus Georges-Hunt led Guangzhou with 26 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists, Guo Kai and Zheng Zhun added 14 and 13 points respectively.

Guangzhou initiated a 16-6 run to finish the first quarter with a 28-19 lead. Zhejiang fell behind by 13 points at halftime but cut the deficit to 70-75 before the last quarter.

The gap was further narrowed to two points midway through the fourth quarter before Guo Kai scored four points in a row, and Jia Mingru hit a three-pointer to help Guangzhou maintain the advantage until the end.

The Shanghai Sharks failed to end their losing streak. Ekpe Udoh contributed 31 points and 19 rebounds, fueling the Beijing Ducks past the Sharks 86-76, while Jeremy Lin also grabbed 26 points, eight rebounds and six assists for Beijing.

The first quarter witnessed a close game with both sides trading punches early on. Li Gen made his three pointer to help Shanghai establish a slight advantage, ending the quarter with a 21-17 lead.

The seesaw battle continued in the second quarter. Ray McCallum missed several free throws, diminishing their hope of widening the gap for Shanghai that also missed point guard Luo Xudong who was forced off the court due to injury. Beijing exploited clutch moments to take a one point lead into the second half.

After the break, Shanghai failed to constrain Lin's aggressive attacks. Together with teammate Udoh, Lin helped his team enlarge the advantage to double digits, and stopped Shanghai's efforts for a comeback in the last quarter.

McCallum notched 15 points and seven rebounds for Shanghai, and Dong Hanlin added 14 points.

Yi Jianlian grabbed 32 points to help the Guangdong Southeast Tigers ease past the Fujian Sturgeons 143-126, extended their winning streak to 18 games.
