Zhejiang Golden Bulls edged Guangzhou Loong Lions 111-107 by raining three-pointers for a three-game winning streak; while the defending champion Guangdong Southeast Tigers smashed Tianjin Pioneers, clinching their 19th straight win in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Monday.

Both sides tied several times at the beginning of the game before Zhejiang got the upper hand with shots and led the first period 29-19. The gap was extended to 12 points at half time.

Guangzhou's Tian Yuheng grabbed 15 points in the third quarter, helping the team make an 8-0 run and trim the deficit to two points by the end of the period.

Guangzhou made an incredible comeback at the beginning of the last quarter at 83-81, but Zhejiang seized back the control of the match with a 9-0 run from outside the three-point line and maintained its dominance till the end.

Tian Yuheng, who led Guangzhou in making the momentary comeback, said the team was proud to make the comeback in the second half, but it was a pity that they lost their edge by making some mistakes in defense.

Zhejiang's Zhu Xuhang grabbed a game-high 28 points, while Marcus Georges-Hunt led Guangzhou with 22 points.

The league leader Guangdong hammered Tianjin Pioneers 126-98 with eight players scoring double-digit points, despite key players including Yi Jianlian were on rotating day-off.

Hu Mingxuan, who collected 11 points, six rebounds and 10 assists, said as young players, they just tried to do their best on court without thinking about anything else, just like their coach Du Feng told them.

Guangdong got the upper hand soon after the start of the match, and managed to build a 65-43 lead at half time. Tianjin struggled to narrow the gap during the second half but saw Guangdong maintain its edge by over 20 points till the end.

Tianjin's He Siyu collected a game-high 25 points, while Sonny Weems Led Guangdong with 23 points.

In the day's other two games, the Shandong Heroes defeated the Sichuan Whale 95-77 to end their three-game losing streak, and Liaoning smashed Qingdao 109-81 upon the arrival of a new head coach.
