The Beijing Royal Fighters beat the Shanghai Sharks 104-97 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Sunday, extending their winning streak to four games.

Beijing established a 29-17 lead in the first quarter, as forward Arnett Moultrie contributed 12 points and five rebounds.

Thanks to three three-pointers from captain Zong Zan and Sun Tonglin, Beijing maintained the 10-plus lead as the first half expired.

Huang Xu and Ray McCallum combined for 17 points in the third quarter and helped Shanghai narrow the gap to only three points.

Kyle Fogg scored four key free throws in the last minute to secure Beijing's fourth victory in a row.

Fogg had a game-high 34 points for Beijing, while Moultrie contributed 18 points. Sun and Zong grabbed 14 points apiece.

Five players scored in double digits for Shanghai, as McCallum got a team-high 21 points and 11 rebounds, Luo Hanchen finished with 18 points, and Ju Mingxin added 16 points.

Although the Royal Fighters won the game, coach Stephon Marbury said he was not satisfied. "In the second half, we didn't play like a team and it seems that we are not ready for the playoffs," he said.

"We made too many mistakes today and lost some key rebounds," said Shanghai coach Manos Manouselis.
