Henrique Dourado converted a late penalty as Henan Jianye drew 1-1 with Dalian Professional in the Chinese Super League (CSL) here on Friday.

Dalian and Henan had both lost in the first round of matches, with both sides eager to pocket a win and get points on the board.

Dalian started brightly and thought they had scored in the third minute through Long Dong, but it was disallowed by VAR.

In the 47th minute, Henan lost the ball and Dalian Pro's Tong Lei fed Swedish winder Sam Larsson who broke the deadlock for Dalian with a long-range piledriver.

However, Henan was awarded a penalty in the 84th minute when Ivo was fouled by Marcus Danielson, who received a red card for his foul, and Dourado coolly converted from the spot.

Dourado thought he had won the game for Henan in injury-time, but his effort was ruled out by VAR after Ivo was adjudged to have been offside in the build-up.
