American pole vaulter Katie Nageotte set a world-leading mark of 4.92 meters on Saturday in Marietta, Georgia, near Atlanta.

The leap sent the 29-year-old to No. 6 position on the all-time list. Her previous best outdoor was 4.83m, which she cleared on 18 July, also in Marietta.

"Sixth highest height ever and had some really great attempts at the American Record," Nageotte said on his social media.

Elsewhere in Italy, Jemma Reekie showcased her good form in the 800m race at the 13th Triveneto Meeting in Trieste, as she held off training partner Laura Muir over the final five meters to win by a scant 0.02, clocking 1:59.52.
