Wuhan Zall claimed a 2-0 victory over Chongqing Dangdai Lifan in the fifth round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Monday.

Hu Jinghang broke the deadlock for Wuhan in the 32nd minute, as he scored with a low drive after collecting a pass from Brazilian forward Leonardo Baptistao.

Wuhan started the second half at a fast pace. In the 65th minute, they grew the lead to 2-0 as Baptistao juked several defenders in the box to unleash a volley.

"Young player Hu Jinghang played very well today. I dedicated this victory to all Wuhan fans," said Wuhan head coach Jose Gonzalez afterwards.

Wuhan rank third in Group B with three wins after the game while Chongqing has yet to notch a victory.

"We will focus on the long-term goal and try our best to achieve it," said Chongqing head coach Zhang Wailong.

Elsewhere, Hebei China Fortune clinched their first victory in the new season after beating Tianjin Teda 2-0.

Brazilian striker Ricardo Goulart netted the first goal for Hebei with a fine header in the 35th minute after receiving a pass from Sierra Leone winger Buya Turay.

Ren Hang was fouled in the box by Gao Jiarun before the interval, and Brazilian forward Marcos Vinicius converted the penalty in the stoppage time, helping Hebei take the lead to 2-0.
