Europa League Champions Sevilla have begun to strengthen for the new season with the signing of midfielder Oscar Rodriguez from Real Madrid.
Sevilla will pay around 15 million euros for 75 percent of the rights for Rodriguez, who last week was given his first call up for the Spanish national team by coach Luis Enrique.
The Sevilla website confirmed on Saturday that Oscar had "signed with Sevilla for the next five seasons," highlighting that his best position was in an attacking midfield role.
The 22-year-old midfielder has never played for the Real Madrid first team, but impressed in two seasons on loan with Leganes, scoring 13 goals and giving six assists in 61 league appearances for the club, which was relegated from La Liga at the end of last season.
