Cedric Bakambu was on fire as he scored four times to lift Beijing Guoan over Chongqing Lifan 5-2 in the Chinese Super League Suzhou division on Tuesday.
Bakambu opened the scoring for Guoan in the 13th minute, as he sent Zhang Xizhe's pinpoint through ball into the bottom corner.
The 29-year-old Congolese striker tapped Wang Ziming's cross home to add another half an hour later.
Alan Kardec's header helped Chongqing to narrow the gap in first half injury time.
Guoan led the match 2-1 heading into the second half and increased their advantage immediately. Wang Ziming headed Bakambu's cross into the left corner in the 46th minute.
Only two minutes later, Bakambu sent a loose ball home to complete a hat-trick after a free-kick created chaos inside Chongqing's box.
Zhang Xizhe's cross from the right side of the box found the Congolese facing the keeper once again and Bakambu fired the ball home in the 63rd minute to clinch the victory for Guoan.
Fernandinho scored a consolation penalty in stoppage time as the game ended 5-2.
