National equestrian competition sets off in Inner Mongolia

The 2020 National Equestrian Competition kicked off on Friday in Xilinhot City, Xilingol League, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The Guangdong team ranked first in the group dressage competition on Friday, followed by Tibet. Jiangsu took third place.

Liang Ruiji and Li Jingmin from Guangdong finished first and second respectively in the individual dressage race, and Penpa Tsering from Tibet came third.

The four-day competition, including dressage, jumping, endurance race, speed race and others, attracted more than 300 professional riders from across China.

Xilinhot became the host city of the annual national equestrian competition in 2013.
