Fluminense forward Evanilson is poised to join reigning Portuguese champions Porto after parting ways with the Brazilian club on Monday.
In a statement, Fluminense did not disclose details of the move nor the name of the 20-year-old's new club, though widespread media reports in Brazil and Portugal said he had signed with Porto.
"Evanilson secured his transfer to a team in Portugal," the statement read, adding that the club tried unsuccessfully to keep him until the end of Brazil's 2020 domestic season.
Capable of playing as a second striker, No. 10 or winger, Evanilson has scored 10 goals in 26 first-team appearances for Fluminense.
He is expected to be available for Porto's 2020-21 Primeira Liga season opener against Braga on September 19.
