Lithuania narrowly defeated Albania 1-0 in Tirana on Monday in UEFA Nations League Group C4.
Though the visiting Lithuanian team had two good chances on goal in the first half, the score remained 0-0.
Lithuania continued their dominance in the second half, and broke the deadlock in the 50th minute when Donatas Kazlauskas capitalized on a mistake from an Albanian defender to score with a low shot.
Despite dominating possession, Albania could not find an equalizing goal and suffered a further blow when captain Elseid Hysaj was sent off after receiving a second yellow card late in the match.
The victory was Lithuania's first competitive win since 2016, bringing an end to their 22-match winless run.
