Four top football academies in China, Guangzhou Evergrande, Guangzhou R&F, Shandong Luneng and Zhejiang Greentown, jointly issued an open letter on Tuesday, condemning some "immoral" agents.

"Some immoral agents disregarded professional ethics and lured young players and their guardians to sign with them," the open letter said.

The letter said these agents instructed young players to leave their original youth training institution, which seriously harmed the interests of young players and the academies, and undermined the market ecology.

"These agents contacted the parents of young players to entice them with seemingly good plans and high compensations, but they seldom fulfill their promises," Liu Baoyu, vice principal of Shandong Luneng football school said.

Liu said the four academies would cooperate with each other on these cases and boycott such agents jointly.

The Chinese Football Association (CFA) has introduced measures to deal with agents that disrupt the transfer order. Agents who break the regulation could receive a life-time ban from football activities.

"We are calling the CFA to further regulate the behavior of the agents and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of youth training institutions and young players," the letter said.
