The Chinese Super League (CSL) wrapped up its first stage on Monday with Guangzhou Evergrande leading the top eight teams into the second stage slated to kick off on October 16.

Fernando Lucas Martins bagged a brace in Beijing Guoan's victory over Shijiazhuang Ever Bright, while Tianjin Teda are still waiting for a win after 14 rounds in the 14th round of the CSL.

Fernando opened the scoring for Guoan in the 17th minute, as he sent Zhang Yuning's pinpoint through ball into the top-left corner.

Cedric Bakambu finished second with a stunning strike in the 27th minute after a goal was disallowed for offside in the opening time.

Fernando doubled his tally with an unstoppable volley in the 74th minute. In stoppage time, Ba Dun finished his first goal in CSL this season and made it a 4-0 victory against Shijiazhuang.

Tianjin Teda had a goalless draw with Wuhan Zall, and finished the last in Suzhou division without a single win in 14 rounds. Wuhan Zall ranked fifth with 17 points.

According to the schedule, Guoan will continue to compete in the Suzhou division with seven other clubs for the CSL championship. Its first opponent is Shandong Luneng, who ranked third in the Dalian division in the first stage. As the second phase of the CSL adopts a two-round knockout system, the two sides will start their first fight on October 17.

Shijiazhuang will go to the Dalian division, where the relegation competition is held. Their first opponent is Dalian Pro, coached by Spaniard Rafael Benitez.

Also on Monday, Hebei China Fortune beat Qingdao Huanghai 3-1, so Hebei will face Guangzhou Evergrande in the next stage.

Chongqing Dangdai edged Shanghai SIPG 1-0, but Shanghai SIPG still managed to rank first in Suzhou division, and will take on Shanghai Shenhua in the second stage.
