Nearly 200 Chinese cyclists competed in four groups on Wednesday in the Tour of Lake Ulan Suhai in Urad Front Banner, Bayannur City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Wang Peng from Bayannur's Dengkou County swept the men's professional event after completing the 60km ride, while Jia Cuiying from Inner Mongolia's Baotou City won the women's 30km professional event.

For the 30km amateur groups, Liu Chunliang from Dengkou County and Hao Xia from Urad Front Banner respectively topped the men's and women's events.

"I'm delighted to enjoy the charm of cycling and see the autumn scenery of Lake Ulan Suhai," said Jia after the race.

Lake Ulan Suhai, located in the north bank of the middle reaches of the Yellow River, is the largest freshwater lake in China's Yellow River basin.

Its water area now reaches approximately 320.1 square km, which is 3.4 percent higher than last year.
