Mark Allen beat defending champion Neil Robertson 10-6 to win the Champion of Champions snooker title at Milton Keynes, England on Sunday.

Allen, 34, hit four centuries in the final while his opponent from Australia also contributed three breaks above 100.

"Beating the World No. 1, 2 and 3 in succession to win a big tournament like this, it's what we play for," said Allen, who also defeated world number two Ronnie O'Sullivan and world number one Judd Trump in the invitational event.

The 16 players participating in the tournament played in four groups from Monday to Thursday, with the winner of each group progressing to the semifinals.

On Monday, China's top player Ding Junhui edged veteran John Higgins 4-3 while Robertson swept Jimmy White 4-0 in the group of four.

Robertson then knocked out Ding 6-4 to reach the semifinals in which he edged three-time world champion Mark Selby 6-5.
