Spain coach Luis Enrique has called Getafe left back Marc Cucurella into his squad for the forthcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Switzerland and Germany.

The product of the FC Barcelona youth system replaces Valencia's Jose Luis Gaya, who was forced to leave Wednesday's 1-1 draw away to Holland in a friendly game after suffering a head injury in a collision with Hans Hateboer and being replaced by Sergio Reguilon.

Cucurella can play at either left back or on the left side of the midfield and will provide backup for Reguillon in the two games which will decide whether or not the Spanish qualify for the final four of the Nations League.

Spain currently tops its group with seven points from four games, with Germany and Ukraine on six points, while the Swiss, who the Spanish face on Saturday, has just two points.
