Young leads Beijing Royal Fighters past Jiangsu Dragons

Joseph Young recorded 20 points to lead the Beijing Royal Fighters past the Jiangsu Dragons 94-76 in the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) season in Zhuji, China, on Saturday.

This is the last game for both teams in the first phase. Neither of them was satisfied with their rankings. Beijing won the first match of the two sides on November 1st.

The Royal Fighters heated up quickly to grab a 20-17 lead in the first quarter before the Dragons went on an 8-0 run in the beginning of the second quarter and led 33-28 at halftime.

The game was balanced until the Royal Fighters went on a 10-0 run with 5:58 remaining in the final frame. The Dragons didn't find a good rhythm in offense, letting the Royal Fighters claim their first victory of the week.

Li Gen contributed 19 points and five rebounds plus three steals for the Royal Fighters. His teammates Wang Zirui and Hou Yifan combined for 33 points. Huang Rongqi led Jiangsu with 22 points.
