Changchun Yatai eased past Shanghai SIPG 4-0, while Kunshan FC beat Guangzhou Evergrande 3-0 in the Chinese Football Association (CFA) Cup on Thursday.

SIPG suffered a complete loss without any doubt after substitutes were put on the pitch while the main squad is fighting in the AFC Champions League.

Changchun broke the deadlock half an hour after the game kicked off. From a corner kick off midfielder Serginho, Yang Chaosheng jumped high for a header but failed to score. However, SIPG goalkeeper Sun Jiazheng did not hold the ball tightly, gifting him a follow-up shot.

Ten minutes later, Xue Yanan's precise cross found Zhou Dadi, whose header hit the cross bar and bounced back. Tan Long converted another header to make it 2-0.

Changchun enlarged the gap in the 56th minute when Serginho smashed in a volley dedicated to Chen Boliang's direct pass through the middle.

Changchun did not stop crushing SIPG until the 76th minute when goalkeeper Sun strived to defend but only touched the ball with his fingertips.

Elsewhere, Kunshan made a quick breakthrough in the 7th minute. Ruan Yang snatched the ball from Wang Tianqin, gifting Tunde Adeniji a volley from the right flank of the box which hit defender Zhang Zhihao and reflected into the net.

The 20th minute witnessed the margin widen. Tu Xudong, without any defense, contributed a high jump header with a left side assist from Liu Yi. The ball hit the right post before it found the net.

Kunshan established an overwhelming advantage in the 60th minute thanks to Hilde Berto's wide-range tap-in.
