AC Milan extended their lead in Italy's Serie A to five points after a 2-0 victory over Fiorentina at the San Siro on Sunday, while Napoli enjoyed a convincing 4-0 home win over Roma.

The Rossoneri broke the deadlock in the 17th minute when Franck Kessie nodded a corner for Alessio Romagnoli to turn in a header at the back post.

Kessie doubled the lead eight minutes later by converting a penalty, and though the Ivorian missed a second spot-kick later, it was enough for the Diavolo to wrap up the three points.

Elsewhere, in a highly-anticipated fixture, Napoli ended Roma's winning streak with four players on target.

Lorenzo Insigne put the home side ahead in the 30th minute through a stunning free-kick, with the Napoli captain celebrating by holding up a special kit in honor of club legend Diego Maradona, who had passed away a couple of days previously.

Fabian Ruiz made it 2-0 in the 64th minute before Dries Mertens tapped in a follow-up.

Matteo Politano then sealed the match in the 87th minute, slotting home after breaking into the box with a mazy run.

Also on Sunday, Bologna edged past Crotone 1-0 while Cagliari and Spezia shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
