Shandong Luneng fared strongly in the 2020 China Table Tennis Super League (CTTSL), with both men's and women's teams reaching the finals with straight-set victories on Monday.

The pair of Qian Tianyi and Chen Xingtong moved Shandong ahead in the women's semifinals by beating Zhang Binyue and Gu Yuting 12-10, 11-6, 11-8.

Wang Manyu and Chen also encountered little challenge in singles matches afterwards, defeating He Zhuojia and Gu respectively with scorelines of 3-0.

Shandong will face Shenzhen, which boasts a strong squad containing Chen Meng, Sun Yingsha and Wang Yidi, in Tuesday's final.

Led by Olympic champion Ma Long, Shandong Luneng's men's team also advanced to title contention in dominant fashion, overcoming Shanghai in straight sets.

Fang Bo and Wang Chuqin gave Shandong a flying start by beating Xu Chenhao and Xu Xin 11-9, 11-7, 11-9.

Shanghai's Zhao Zihao could not mount enough pressure on Ma, who won 11-5, 11-4, 11-5 to put Shandong further ahead.

Wang rallied from one game down to defeat Xu Xin 10-12, 11-2, 11-1, 11-4 to secure Shandong's final berth.

The last obstacle standing in front of Shandong Luneng is another side from Shandong, the Weiqiao team, which eliminated Shantou in Sunday's semifinals.
