The Shenzhen Aviators smashed the Shanxi Loongs 116-93 for their sixth consecutive victory, while the Liaoning Leopards enjoyed a 129-116 victory against the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.

Lagging by one point at the end of the first quarter, Shenzhen stormed 41-13 to end the first half with 64-37. Shen Zijie's consecutive points in the paint helped Shenzhen to extend the lead to 30 points in the third quarter to secure the victory early in the game.

Shenzhen extended its winning streak to six games while enjoying a 4-0 record over Shanxi this season.

"We had some smooth scoring performances today. We will have a day off tomorrow, and we'll prepare for the game against Guangzhou," said Shen, who had 28 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks for Shenzhen.

Centre Han Dejun returned from an elbow injury in the key clash between Liaoning and Zhejiang; the two teams respectively ranked first and third place after the previous round.

Zhu Rongzhen of Liaoning played a key role in contributing 18 points and eight rebounds, while Han had 20 points and eight rebounds as a substitute. Their teammate O.J. Mayo shined with 32 points, six rebounds and eight assists to lead Liaoning build the advantage point by point to beat Zhejiang.

As the former Liaoning player who was transferred to Shandong for Zhu, Gao Shiyan contributed 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists to lead the Shandong Heroes beat the Beijing Ducks 89-86 to end the latter's three-game winning streak.

In Sunday's three other games, the Jilin Northeast Tigers beat the Fujian Sturgeons 117-110, the Tianjin Pioneers lost to the Beijing Royal Fighters 99-96, and the Jiangsu Dragons edged the Qingdao Eagles 103-90.
