Mario Mandzukic made his return to Serie A as the Croatian hitman has penned a deal with AC Milan to the end of the current season, the Italian Serie A side confirmed on Tuesday.

Mandzukic joined Juventus in 2015 from Atletico Madrid. The 34-year-old made an impact at the Allianz Stadium during his four and a half seasons with the Bianconeri, scoring 44 goals in 162 appearances, before a move to Al-Duhail at the end of 2019. But the runner-up of the 2018 World Cup only provided one goal in seven outings for the Qatar side.

"AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Mario Mandzukic. The Club and the striker have agreed on a deal until the end of the current season with an option to extend the contract for the next one," read a statement.

Mandzukic will wear the number 9 jersey.
