China is getting closer to accomplishing its "Winter Olympic dream" as the one-year countdown to the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games begins. Since July 31, 2015, when it was first chosen, Beijing has become the world's first "double-Olympic city." The construction and renovation of all the 12 competition venues, in Beijing downtown, its Yanqing district and Zhangjiakou city respectively, has been completed, making full preparations for the upcoming Beijing 2022.
